Jessica is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. She works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and major life transitions. With experience in both counseling and case management, she brings an understanding of the emotional and practical complexities individuals and families often face.


Her approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, grounded in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, psychodynamic perspectives, and attachment-informed care. With children and adolescents, Jessica emphasizes emotional awareness, coping skill development, and the cultivation of internal safety through developmentally attuned interventions. She also integrates mindfulness and somatic awareness techniques to support clients in understanding the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physiological experiences.

A compassionate and dedicated therapist, LJ Horowitz, MSW, LSW provides a safe and inclusive space for individuals of all backgrounds, permitting the opportunity for client self-exploration and empowerment. Aiming to provide a therapeutic experience that fosters comfort, warmth, and genuine connection, LJ believes that healing begins with trust, empathy, and a collaborative partnership between the therapist and client. When working with younger children, LJ employs a child-centered play therapy approach, utilizing a full playroom to create a nurturing and expressive space. Understanding that every child is unique, LJ tailors therapeutic approaches to meet the client’s individual needs and helps them navigate the complexities of childhood. In addition to sourcing from a variety of therapeutic approaches when working in therapy with adolescents, LJ offers an added benefit of having specialization in executive function coaching and academic performance improvement. By focusing on enhancing organizational skills, self-management to time, executive skills, and study strategies, LJ can support clients in achieving their performance goals and unlocking their full potential. When working with adults, LJ aims to challenge clients by exploring their life stories from new perspectives while also helping them navigate life’s barriers to achieve inner peace. Possessing extensive experience with various populations coupled with clinical perspective and human understanding, LJ is passionate about creating a supportive environment where clients feel empowered to explore their identities and experiences as they traverse the lifespan.


Beyond the therapy room, LJ is an avid sports fan and deeply committed to social justice. LJ is in active participant in working to dismantle toxic masculinity, challenge racism, and deconstruct patriarchal constructs that perpetuate inequality. By advocating for change within and beyond therapy, LJ strives to create a more inclusive and equitable world.
